The Okeanus Mine Countermeasure (MCM) winches are designed for use with mechanical mine-sweep systems (MMS), or combined influence sweep (CIS) systems and are specifically designed for defense mine countermeasure operations. These winches can be mounted either on unmanned or manned surface vessels.

The mechanical mine-sweep system winches have a double drum to allow it to deploy two systems simultaneously or independently. The combined influence sweep winches are single-drum systems. All of our MCM winches have several failsafe’s built in including a hand crank for added security and safety in the event of an emergency.

They are designed and tested in accordance with MIL standards including MIL-STD-810G and can be designed for installation on both unmanned or manned surface vessels and used in conjunction with our purpose-built Launch and Recovery Systems.
