Okeanus provides a wide range of spoolers, reelers, and tensioning devices to support winch spooling and testing operations. From simple winches and reel stands to passive or active traction devices, our spooling equipment provides everything needed for simple and safe cable spooling operations.

Passive spoolers provide a low cost, simple and reliable option for spooling under tension. Typically supplied with a mechanical brake for hold back tension, these spoolers are designed to accommodate a number of size cable spools with different shaft requirements or dog sizes. Stand alone double drum traction devices can also be provided to increase hold back tension.

These spoolers can be supplied with motor controls, allowing control of the spooler in both directions. Some complex operations require more precise control and can include constant tension modes, mechanical and electrical overtension failsafes, remote control or autonomous functionality.
