Kongsberg M3 Multibeam System
The Kongsberg M3 Multibeam Echosounder/Sonar is an imaging and profiling system suited for a wide range of applications, including ROV navigation and high-resolution site clearance surveys. The M3’s optional pan and tilt unit allows it to be mounted on an ROV in almost any orientation, providing the user with the widest field of view possible. This small, lightweight system can also be pole-mounted on a surface vessel to provide high-resolution multibeam bathymetry data.

- Imaging: long-range navigation with high-speed update rate
- Enhanced Image Quality (eIQ): greatest image quality (0.95° angular resolution) from a short range with a slower update
- ROV Navigation: selects eIQ or imaging based on the range
- Profiling: narrow 3° beam used to generate a 3D point cloud
